The Belvedere is a place that has always taken by hand the history of its city; for over 5 Cen. It offers itself as Meeting Place of all Political, Art and Cultural protagonists. An old location which we have traces since the 1st Cen. B.c. As Hotel, the real 'Belvedere's' birthday chronologically coincides with the entry of Bassano into the Venice Republic which happened on the 10th of June 1404, making it geographically the 'DOOR OF THE LAND' of the Republic towards the north.

Historically, the 'Belvedere' was first renovated around the middle of the XVI Century, followed by more work during the XVIII Century. Some more was added between the 1867/68, 1878, then again in the 1950/60.

The present owner, Sir Antonio Bonotto, took over the management of the Hotel in December 1973 - 25th Anniversary -, in 1977 he started making radical changes to the old wing of 'Belvedere'. Extensive changes were made and many useful services were added. In 1985, when the World Cycling Championship of the Veneto Region took place in Bassano, the "Belvedere" was the headquarters and it enlarged with the construction of 45 more rooms and a private underground Garage, giving the Hotel a total of 150 beds.

Always aware of the changing needs of its business and tourist customers, continual upgrades are made. The last improvements took place during the Spring '97 when romantic Junior Suites and Superior rooms were added. The result: the TRADITION and the OSPITALITY CULTURE are authentically preserved for modern times. The number of the rooms in Belvedere Hotel is 87 for the total of 133 beds.

5 Junior Suites and 5 Superior Rooms are the newest rooms, which have been recently up-dated to the new needs of an international clientele; all equipped with Jacuzzi and shower. Available rooms for disable people, and NON-SMOKING rooms. Not to forget that "Belvedere" is dated 1400 and many restructures have taken place in the main body, leaving consequently, on its three floors, different aspects of different styles: modern, venetian, mansard-roof, and romantic.
