The B & B is on the second floor of a 14th century building (sorry but there is no lift), one of a series of houses built by the Cathedral Chapter in about 1380 to accommodate poor workers in the wake of the 1378 Ciompi revolt. (Lots of modifications and rennovations have been carried out since then though!). What's on offer: a large sunny room on two levels with private bathroom (shower, bidet, basin and lavatory; a hair-dryer is provided).

One single bed and the bathroom are on the upper level. The other two beds (either two singles or a double), the armchairs, table etc are on the lower level. There is a little kitchenette with sink, fridge, toaster and electric kettle. Everything provided (fruit juice, water, milk, yoghurt, bread, butter, jams muesli, biscuits, snacks, several varieties of tea, coffee etc) is included in the price.

Italian coffee and hot milk can be provided for breakfast if required. Plenty of heating in the winter and air-conditioning in the summer. Bookings for the Uffizi and Accademia Art Galleries made free of charge. Informed suggestions on what to see and do in and around Florence. Bookings: one night's deposit required for confirmation. Cancellations: deposit refunded if made at least ten days before.
