Lovely converted from a 15th century Medici Palace, the Aprile stands on Via della Scala, within sight of the campanile of S.Maria Novella. The Duomo is about ten minutes walk away. The Hotel is preserved by the Commission of the Fine Arts as a historic monument and some of the rooms are lovely, with frescoes, high vaulted ceilings and furniture in the Florentine Renaissance style.
