In 1906 the Grand Hotel Timeo & Villa Flora welcomed the German emperor, Kaiser Wilhelm II, after whom the hotels most prestigious suite is named. Surrounded by a park of 25,000 square metres filled with numerous tropical species, the historic hotel is famous for its literary terrace. With its spectacular views it has always been a privileged meeting-place for illustrious guests.

All the rooms, expensively furnished, have panoramic balconies or terraces. The suites recall the golden age of the Sicilian Baroque, lightened and made almost effervescent by the brilliance of colours and fabrics: among them is the Kaiser Suite with its elegant rooms and a terrace of more than 220 square metres, recapturing the splendour of aristocratic Sicily in the early days of the 20th century.
