Hotel Peninsula was originally a stone edifice, built in the 19th century as a private home. In September 2002, it was rebuilt in its original Ottoman style. It offers Turkish hospitality for guests from all over the world. The hotel is centrally located in the old city, only a few minutes walk from The Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, Topkapi Place, The Hippodrome and the other tourist attractions.

Hotel Peninsula is located in the historical center of Istanbul. Several important monuments lie just a few minutes away by foot, including Saint Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, basilica (underground) cistern and Hippodrome square. Sleepy tourists will be relieved to learn that the hotel is situated in one of the quietest areas of Sultanahmet. Moreover, there is no through traffic on Adliye sokak; the street ends in a pedestrian staircase, which prevents passage of motor vehicles and mutes the clamor of honking horns.
