Built in the 1860's, the Royal Ettrick Hotel was originally the grand town house of a rich Edinburgh barrister. The house was converted into a hotel in the 1940's, and today it is one of Edinburgh's finest small hotels. Refurbished in 2001, this traditional Festival Inn offers quality accommodation, value for money and a very warm welcome. With 12 bedrooms of a three star standard, conservatory restaurant, beer garden, International Bar and Lounge Bar the Royal Ettrick Hotel strives to offer a home from home.
The twelve traditionally decorated bedrooms are located between the first and second floors. The hotel does not have a lift. The first floor features three executive bedrooms which are large and bright. The conservatory restaurant is open from breakfast each morning until late offering an all day menu. Our sample menu is detailed below. We are also able to recommend the Beluga Canteen Restaurant located on Chambers Street for fine dining. Champagne and Flowers can be arranged for that special occasion. There is a night porter on duty through out the night should you require assistance.

Our full Scottish breakfast is included in all rates, and served in the conservatory restaurant between 7.30am and 9.30am Monday - Friday and from 8am and 10am at the weekend. Continental breakfast commences 30 minutes prior to these times. |
